Judge Allows Casey Kasem's Daughter to End Life Support of the Ailing Star
A Los Angeles judge reversed his decision on Wednesday, giving Casey Kasem's daughter Kerri the authority to implement end-of-life measures for the critically ill star, CNN reports. In accordance with Kerri Kasem's wishes, doctors will no longer provide infusions of water, food and medicine. To continue forcing artificial nutrition and hydration would "at best prolong the dying process for him and will certainly add suffering to an already terribly uncomfortable dying process," Kerri's lawyer, Troy Martin, said.
Homeland Adds Raza Jaffrey and Michael O'Keefe
Homeland's cast refresh continues: The Showtime drama has added two more new faces to its fourth season. Smash's Raza Jaffrey and Roseanne's Michael O'Keefe have signed on in recurring roles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jaffrey will play Aasar Khan, a decorated lieutenant-colonel in the Pakistan intelligence service. O'Keefe will play deputy station chief John Redmond who is stationed in Afghanistan and will clash with Carrie.

Olympic Swimmer Amy Van Dyken Severs Spinal Cord in Crash
Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken severed her spinal cord in an all-terrain vehicle crash on Friday in Arizona, The Associated Press reports. The six-time Olympic gold medalist, who goes by her married name Amy Van Dyken Rouen, was air lifted to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center and had surgery to stabilize her spine. As of Monday afternoon, Van Dyken Rouen was in good condition, according to hospital spokeswoman Alice Gierdraitis.
