Jaffrey and O'Keefe's casting comes one week after Homeland announced Corey Stoll will be guest-starring as Sandy Bachman, the CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan (and O'Keefe's boss). Showtime also announced Laila Robins will be a series regular as Martha Boyd, the United States Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Additionally, Suraj Sharma will appear in a "heavily recurring" role as a Pakistani medical student who crosses paths with Carrie.

Season 4 will take place in Islamabad and Kabul and is slated to begin production later this month in Cape Town, South Africa.

Homeland returns to Showtime this fall.
