To promote Thursday's airing of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, ABC revived last year's ad featuring Charlie Brown rapping the sales pitch about it. "Hey, party people, it's Charlie B / Bringing Halloween Thursday to ABC," Charlie rhymes. (Really, it's just the old animation with new voiceover.) "Raking leaves and rolling on a pumpkin / Trick or treat, and then the party gets thumpin.'" In the longer version of the ad, the fun continues: "Lucy's getting bossy / Snoopy's getting saucy / Things have gotten crazy with my Peanut posse." Crazy! "But where is Linus? / This party is posh / he's waiting in the field for a mythical squash." Mythical squash!

Just days after the Parents Television Council lobbed its latest salvo against Glee, the show risks further wrath from the decency police with a nose-thumbing trip to Transsexual, Transylvania. In Tuesday's episode, McKinley High's glee clubbers mount nothing less than a production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the sexually charged musical from 1973 that introduced audiences to self-proclaimed sweet transvestite Dr. Frank-N-Furter and his buff, blond creation. Glee's executive producers often refer to their series as a "family show," while indulging in more than a few risqué chuckles; most recently, Coach Sue caught a student masturbating on school grounds. But celebrating the hedonistic romp that is Rocky Horror — however fitting for the also-subversive Glee — required some extra creativity.

It's been almost a year since viewers watched The Real Housewives of Atlanta go at it. Recall that when we last saw NeNe Leakes, she and on-again-off-again friend Kim Zolciak had been fighting over an incident in which Zolciak accused Leakes of choking her. Twice. The last several months have been even more tumultuous for Leakes, whose son was arrested and whose marriage to Greg is said to be on the rocks. Two days before the Season 3 premiere (Monday at 10/9c), Leakes was antsy about not having seen the first episode. But it's the mark of a true housewife that she wasn't nervous about which of her antics the cameras captured so much as eager to be up in everyone else's business. "They were supposed to send the episode already. They better bring me that damn tape," she said. "I always run upstairs when I get it and pop it in because I want to see what happened, too. We don't always see what the other girls are doing. I don't get to see what's going on with Sheree's life or Kim's life when I'm not there. So yes, I want to know!" Kenny Powers had earned our pity by the end of Eastbound & Down's first season. A star in his own mind, and a blatant blowhard, Kenny mostly offended and grossed us out. (While also hilarious, his antics are too crude to enumerate here.) And yet, we found ourselves sympathizing with the guy. The washed-up baseball player had suffered humiliations — most of his own making — that tugged at our admittedly easily tugged-upon heartstrings. Then he hit a new low in the finale: rejected by Tampa and compelled to drive off into the sunset alone. But when Eastbound & Down returns Sunday at 10:30/9:30c on HBO, Kenny will be reborn.
