Can the Beckhams conquer America? After the British super-couple's TV debut last week, the answer is a definite maybe. On Monday, July 16, Posh’s surprisingly charming reality special Victoria Beckham: Coming to America attracted just five million viewers to NBC. Still, it won its time slot with adults 18 to 49, and a special encore showing on Thursday drew another four million.David’s debut was smaller but more promising, given that it was on cable. His new soccer team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, hosted London’s Chelsea FC on Saturday in an exhibition match that aired on ESPN. Though Beckham played just 16 minutes late in the game (he’s nursing an ankle injury), 1.468 million viewers tuned in, making it the most-watched program of the night on ad-supported cable among men 18 to 49 and 25 to 54.
