The fifth season of this paranormal drama opens with Allison (Patricia Arquette) returning to working at the DA's office, but eventually she accepts a new job with a Fortune 500 company. She enjoys her new luxurious lifestyle, but things take an ugly turn when the company's founder (David Morse) wants her to predict business trends for him and forbids her from sharing her visions with others. At one point this season, Allison envisions the end of the world, and later she works with the ghost of FBI agent Cooper (Kurtwood Smith) and finds herself questioning his true motives. However, something truly disturbing occurs when a demonic stalker threatens her family and then invades her visions, rendering them unreliable.
