In the third season of this paranormal drama, a challenging case involving a possible serial killer has Allison (Patricia Arquette) working with FBI criminal profiler Edward Cooper (Kurtwood Smith) for the first time. Cooper's very skeptical about Allison's skills, especially when her visions differ from his findings. Allison bonds much better with Debra (Neve Campbell), a woman who becomes her new friend, but who unfortunately winds up in jeopardy. Allison's husband, Joe (Jake Weber), also lands in a dangerous situation when a disgruntled former coworker of his returns to the office and takes his anger out in a violent way. Meanwhile, Joe has to help Allison through an identity crisis when she wakes up one day and believing she's an entirely different person.
