The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and often nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurably optimistic and earnest sea sponge, and his underwater friends. Instead of taking the logical approach to everyday challenges, SpongeBob approaches life in a wayward and unconventional way.
