When Lacey learns about the other woman from Ma Smalley, Lacey--and what Matt said about the hanging of women--may be put to the test.

There was already a wanted poster out on him for the escape and the killing of the guard, but Billy Joe protests his innocence of it all, reminding Matt that it's his duty to protect him from the would-be lyncher.
