My question is regarding the recent USA cancellations of Common Law and Fairly Legal.
USA Cancels Political Animals
Political Animals will not return for a second season, TVGuide.com has confirmed. The six-episode series, starring Sigourney Weaver and Carla Gugino, was originally conceived as a miniseries, but producer Greg Berlanti and some of the show's stars hinted that it might be picked up for a second season if the initial run drew enough viewers. The show premiered to 3.8 million total viewers and averaged a modest 3.2 million viewers for the six weeks it was on the air.

Question: I would love to know your thoughts on the Cristina/Owen storyline at this point in the season of Grey's Anatomy. It goes without saying that Sandra Oh and Kevin McKidd have been absolutely flawless and incredible in acting out their scenes together, particularly in last week's episode. However, do you think this is a case where the acting outshines and elevates the writing for the most part and makes it more nuanced that what is on the page of the script? While I enjoy watching Sandra and Kevin act opposite one another and while I will always root for Cristina/Owen to work it out in spite of their endless issues and this endless storyline, I feel that the writing has not been serving them or the characters we have come to know.

I know the ratings have been anemic, but bumping it twice for Dancing With the Stars recaps is cruel to the fans of Cougar Town, fans who waited nine months for new episodes. I waited patiently, thinking ABC had a good plan for the show and that the wait would be worth it, but instead, I'm kept waiting. They paired it with a show it doesn't match at a time slot that's not appropriate, but still, I thought: at least my show is back on, I'm hanging with the Cul-de-Sac Crew again, it'll be OK. Instead, two weeks in a row, I get the shaft. Whatever happened to the plan to pair it with Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 on Tuesdays?

It took them pretty much forever to get the first season prepared, I'm assuming because of the special effects. If they wind up on another network, that probably means a smaller budget, faster production, fewer dinosaurs, more focus on the people, character-driven stories, etc. Right? Question: I really like the new show The Chicago Code; I am from Chicago and also love the fact that it is shot on location here. My only issue with the show is Jennifer Beals' HORRIBLE attempt at a Chicago accent (and I love her). It is especially grating when she is narrating the story. I have lived in Chicago my whole life, and I can tell you that most people do not have that Dennis Franz (or the SNL characters') accent. That is a South Side thing and only a portion of the South Side actually talks that way. I will say that Jason Clarke not only nails the South Side accent but also the whole South Side mentality of a diehard White Sox fan who hates the Cubs (Sox fans are an angry bunch). Everyone I know that has watched the show has had the same reaction to her and it almost makes the show unwatchable. What do you think? Why can't they just let her talk normally?
