The day Riverdale fans have been waiting for has finally arrived! The cast and producers of The CW drama announced that Gina Gershon (Rescue Me) and newcomer Trinity Likins will be playing Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) mom Gladys and sister Jellybean respectively. Executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teased at San Diego Comic-Con this summer that the rest of the Jones family would be coming to town and now we officially have faces to be obsessed with!

The casting news came as part of Riverdale's panel at New York Comic Con on Sunday, where Aguirre-Sacasa was joined by stars KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Luke Perry, Madchen Amick and executive producer John Goldwater.

The Definitive Ranking of Riverdale's Hot Dads

It turns out the other half of the Jones family still has a strong Serpent bond. We learned that Gladys is running a chop shop in Toledo, where she and Jellybean -- who now goes by JB -- have been living separately from Jughad and FP (Skeet Ulrich). The chop shop doubles as a Serpent compound where Gladys presides over a gang of teenage Serpents ready to ask "How high?" whenever she says, "Jump."

JB's apple doesn't fall far from the tree either. Jughead's little sister is also "wise beyond her years," according to the official character description, loves Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd, and is an impressive con artist. Will Jughead find JB's skill set useful or will he be dismayed at the wayward path she's taken?

Of course, the arrival of Gladys and Jellybean isn't good news for everyone. We can't imagine that Alice (Madchen Amick) is too thrilled to see them back in town, considering how cuddly she was getting with FP in the Season 3 trailer.

Riverdale returns for Season 3 Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c on The CW.

(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, one of The CW's parent companies.)
