Christmas has come early for Riverdale fans! The brand spankin' new trailer for Season 3 released Wednesday features a lot of new footage from the upcoming season. It paints a darker picture than the trailer that was released at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this summer, except when it comes to Alice (Madchen Amick) and FP (Skeet Ulrich).

The fan-favorite couple are seen rolling around in bed together, confirming that Falice — yes, we know what that name sounds like — is officially on this season. It also has the added bonus of giving us shirtless FP. Praise be! However, don't let the eye candy distract you for too long, because there was also something extra important revealed in that same moment — Alice's serpent tattoo. The location of Alice's elusive inked snake has been a question of most importance to fans since it was first revealed she used to be a Serpent. It turns out her snake is located at top of her right thigh, perfectly exposed when giggling beneath a sheet.

While we are relieved to have this mystery revealed, it also raises a few questions. How did no one know where this tattoo was? Has Alice never worn a swimsuit before? A pair of short pajama shorts that at least revealed the snake's tail? Has Betty (Lili Reinhart) never accidentally walked in on her mom changing, ever? Honestly, it's a miracle we didn't see this baby last season in Alice's instantly memorable entrance to a party? (Also, was I the only one betting it was going to be a really low tramp stamp?)

What is more shocking though is the fact that Alice isn't the only one with ink! Archie (KJ Apa) is also sporting a new tattoo on his bicep. It's a snake too, but it's not the serpent symbol. Wow, jail has already changed him. Luckily Veronica (Camila Mendes) is declaring the two of them endgame to her father, because high school relationships in the middle of mob wars always work out, you know?

Meanwhile, there's also some weird cult shenanigans going on and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) can be seen yelling into the void for help. All we can say is that better not be Betty collapsed next to him, because I am not here for that!

Riverdale returns for Season 3 Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c on The CW.

(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, one of The CW's parent companies.)
