ABC is taking the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach to its lineup this fall. After renewing every one of its scripted shows for the first time in the network's history, ABC is rolling out a fall schedule that's heavy on familiar favorites, and you'll find most of them on the nights you expect. 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville, and Grey's Anatomy are staying put on Thursdays; Dancing With the Stars still anchors Tuesday nights; and Monday Night Football is still Monday Night Football.

But there are a few changes, even for shows that aren't exactly going anywhere. This spring's Scott Speedman P.I. drama RJ Decker is holding on to its Tuesday night time slot, but since it's moving to the fall, it gets a shiny new neighbor in Dancing With the Stars. That pushes High Potential to midseason. Shifting Gears is also moving to midseason, making room for Scrubs to share an hourlong comedy block with Abbott Elementary on Wednesday nights. And Celebrity Jeopardy!, which was initially announced as part of the fall schedule, is moving back to 2027 and will be replaced by the continuation of the summer show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

The network's two new scripted shows in the works are being held for midseason, too. The Rookie spin-off The Rookie: North, starring Jay Ellis, will premiere in 2027 — which should make it even easier to cross over with The Rookie, which is once again taking time off during the fall season. Plus, ABC has announced a new Texas-set Grey's Anatomy spin-off that's also set to debut in 2027.

As for when the fall season kicks off, ABC is forgoing a traditional premiere week and bringing back shows whenever it wants. Dancing with the Stars and RJ Decker are the first series returning, launching on Sept. 15, the day after the debut of Monday Night Football, which will no doubt run many DWTS and RJ Decker promos. (Is that Scott Speedman in the stands in Kansas City?) Scrubs returns Sept. 30, Abbott Elementary is back on Oct. 7, and the big Thursday block of 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Nashville, and Grey's Anatomy makes its fall debut on Oct. 15.

Here's everything you need to know about ABC's fall 2026 lineup.
