Jon Heder is a gas in this uproarious farce. He plays Jeffrey, a needy, nerdy 29-year-old slacker who still lives at home and has never been able to cut the apron strings. His doting mother (Diane Keaton) throws him a curve when she begins a romance with a successful motivational speaker (Jeff Daniels) who tries hard to win the son over. Anna Faris is delightful as a folk singer who falls for Jeffrey despite his hard-to-love ways. Eli Wallach is excellent as Heder's boss at a bookstore.
