Season 4 of the sitcom focuses on a new young couple disrupting the lives of Eddie (Brad Garrett) and Joy (Joely Fisher). In the season opener, Ally (played by Lindsay Broad, replacing Laura Clery) returns to her parents' house with Doug (Timm Sharp) in tow, and the couple plan to live in their RV in the Starks' backyard. Later on, the couple get properly married (they were married before by a shaman in Ecuador), then Ally (now played by Kate Micucci, making her the fourth and final Ally) announces she's pregnant. The baby arrives on the same day as Eddie's book signing.
