Tom and Dick Smothers pioneered political satire on TV---becoming a voice for the counterculture and drawing the wrath of network censors. Their groundbreaking '60s show was a hit with young viewers, but amid escalating controversy over their topical, sometimes irreverent humor (much of it antiwar, or at least antiestablishment), the series was abruptly canceled (and replaced by 'Hee Haw'). The brothers came back with new versions of the program, but none matched the hipness of the original.

Lost River Sessions is a television, concert, and radio series launched by WKU PBS and WKU Public Radio out of Bowling Green, KY. The series explores the music scene from the roots up by featuring musical talents in the Folk, Bluegrass, and Americana genres performing intimate live sets in various iconic venues across South Central Kentucky.
Roy Clark hosts this mix of current and archival footage of country stars performing their hits of the 1950s, '60s and '70s. Included: Bill Anderson; the Bellamy Brothers; Glen Campbell; Crystal Gayle, Hank Locklin, B.J. Thomas; and the Browns.
