The Biskitts

Animated series set in a medieval fantasy world. The Biskitts are a group of tiny anthropomorphic dogs who live on Biskitt Island. They have been tasked with guarding the crown jewels of Biskitt Castle, and they remain loyal to a recently deceased king and his regime. Their main enemy is King Max, their former leader's younger brother. He inherited his brother's title but not his actual wealth or lands. Max is both a cruel man and a spendthrift, who constantly schemes to reclaim his family's treasures and other valuable items guarded by the Biskitts. Max's main henchman is Shecky the court jester. He is willing to act as Max's obedient servant, but he has a habit of taking independent actions or forming secret alliances.
