Takeshi's Castle

The "three smart guys" in this one-reel MGM Our Gang comedy are Mickey (Robert Blake), Froggy (Billy Laughlin), and Buckwheat (Billie Thomas), who devise a scheme to play hooky from school and go fishing. But upon arriving at the river bank, the kids make the acquaintance of a friendly hobo (Edward Fielding), who advises them that they'll never hook the "fish" of success unless they return to school. Duly chastened, the boys rush off to the schoolhouse just in time for the first bell. Three Smart Guys was originally released on October 23, 1943.

When genius cybernetics engineer Ted Lawson brings home his top-secret invention, a Voice Input Child Identicant or V.I.C.I., life becomes anything but mechanical for the Lawson Family. With his boss and his nosy family living next door, Ted, his wife Joan and their son Jamie must pass Vicki off as a real child. It is easy for Joan, who cannot help doting on her like a daughter, but harder for precocious Jamie, who uses Vicki to do his homework and to ward off Harriet, the annoying redheaded girl next door.

The mother/daughter relationship is notoriously complicated...and when the mothers and daughters happen to be celebrities, their drama is exposed for everyone to see. Six mother/daughter pairs will air all their dirty laundry to repair their broken relationships. Emotions run high as therapist Dr. Debbie Magids guides them through explosive therapy and intense exercises to move past their differences and rebuild their bonds. Will this experience bring out the best or worst in these mothers and daughters? Is this a new beginning or the beginning of the end of these famous relationships?
