Series 25 of the long-running Glasgow-set police drama finds the team investigate more suspicious deaths and shady characters. The cases begin with the brutal murder of an anti-violence campaigner. The team then enter unfamiliar territory when their investigations lead them into the city's Polish community, a mining village, and the world of psychics. Later in the series Ross feels responsible for the murder of one of his informants, after his contact book is stolen.

How did they get there - and were they murdered?

As a result he begins to wonder if there is more to her than initially meets the eye.

Can he solve the case before his career becomes the next casualty?
