20 Episodes 2009 - 2010
The first season follows a group of soldiers, civilians and scientists who retreat through the stargate when their base is attacked to a ship built millennia ago by an ancient race of beings. On an unalterable course billions of light years from home, our unlikely band of space travelers find themselves locked in a fierce battle for survival as the Destiny lacks resources to support a large group of people. Colonel Young (Louis Ferreira) must keep everyone focused on repairing the ship's system and obtaining food and water while Dr. Rush (Robert Carlyle) tries to figure out how to control the ship. Tensions arise on board Destiny between the military and civilian personnel and everyone must learn to adjust to their situation and each other while working together to survive. The crew of Destiny must deal with the aftermath of the return of two abducted crew members and prepare for and battle repeated attempts to take over the ship by different factions.
