The misadventures of Chicago's Gallagher family, led (somewhat) by their irrepressible, irresponsible, dissolute, drunken deadbeat of a dad, Frank, continue in a rollicking Season 2. Frank's up to his old manipulative, self-serving tricks as he uses son Liam as collateral for a gambling debt, latches on to a potential sugar momma in the form of a dying bar belle and tries to cash in on the supposed hidden stash of cash left by his late mother. Meanwhile, the ever-ambitious and hardworking eldest, Fiona, has landed a job tending bar at a popular local watering hole and continues to juggle a number of suitors, including a former high-school crush who's married. Industrious Lip decides to make some money by taking bets on Little League games, works to get Ian into West Point and does his best to help Karen through her pregnancy. And prodigal matriarch Monica Gallagher blows back into town, hooks up with Frank for more shenanigans and proves to be more maternal than anyone remembers.
