I watched the BBC America miniseries and therefore I already know who did it. Now I am sure the American version will have a different person, but how different can these shows really be? Even David Tennant is in it, playing the part he played on Broadchurch. Your thoughts? — Amy

Even in a season distinguished by insta-duds like Lucky 7 and Betrayal, ABC hits a new low with Mind Games (Tuesday, 10/9c), an inexplicably and ridiculously convoluted drama which achieves the rare trick of making Christian Slater look like a master of understated acting. He plays an ex-con who teams with his frenetic, bipolar brother (Steve Zahn in an eye-poppingly cartoonish performance), an expert in all human behaviors but his own, to start a firm that specializes in elaborate psychological manipulations to achieve their clients' aims.

Send questions and comments to firstname.lastname@example.org and follow me on Twitter! Question: I have a question regarding whose idea was it to make Sundays packed full with TV shows? Revenge is now on after Once Upon a Time and goes against The Good Wife and The Mentalist — oh and of course football! I only have so much DVR space and time to use up and there are days I want to watch football instead of the shows. I did see that CBS changed the start times due to football, but to put Revenge and Once on the same night? Come on, man, that is not cool! Your thoughts? — Amy
It was a summer that won't be remembered fondly, at least by the broadcast networks. Despite a flurry of new shows, from CBS' Dogs in the City to ABC's Glass House, there wasn't much to crow about — at least until NBC's Summer Olympics ratings juggernaut came along. Cable fared better, launching new hits like A&E's Longmire and TNT's Perception and opening events like History's Hatfields & McCoys to big numbers. Here are some of this summer's highs and lows.
