The reality series features the Appalachian Investigators of Mysterious Sightings (AIMS), a team of native Wet Virginian hunters, as they try to find evidence of unidentified creatures supposedly living in the Appalachian Mountains. After being told a creature has been spotted, they research the being and the area; then, they meet with eyewitnesses and prepare for the hunt. They often manage to capture photos or audio of the creatures they hunt, though actually capturing them proves to be a challenge. Among the sightings investigated in Season 1 are a 500 lb Wolfman, the mythical Ohio Grassman, the Devil Dog and a flying Mothman.
