Eighteen months on and Siobhan is a celibate single mother to 3-year old Elsa, granting access to the jet-setting Dominic, who surprises her by introducing her to Alice, whom he intends to marry. Katie, back from Australia and working as a locum, is also taken aback when her glamorous, critical mother Vivienne arrives out of the blue to sell the family home so that she can move to South Africa with her lover. Jessica is still with Mark and desperate for a baby,considering all options.
