iZombie

5 Seasons
A zombie helps Seattle police solve murders by experiencing victims' memories when she eats their brains. After changing into a zombie, Liv decides to get a job at a mortuary. She does so to satiate her cravings for human brains. Unsuspectingly, she also ends up absorbing memories of the brains she feeds on. She inherits traits and skills of the person and even gets flashbacks of that person's life. Consuming brains of murder victims, prompts Liv to contact Police Detective Clive Babineaux, as the flashbacks often hint towards the victim's killer. Liv decides to help the detective solve crimes.

Picket Fences

4 Seasons
David E. Kelley's surreal slice of small-town Wisconsin life centered on the Brock family: the town's sheriff, his physician wife and their three kids. There was some conventional murder and mayhem, along with dark humor. The occasionally bizarre story lines (like a 'serial bather' sneaking into homes) were often juxtaposed with ruminations on a variety of social issues (among them, bigamy and euthanasia). While never much of a ratings hit, this was a critical darling, winning 14 Emmys.
