Lena Schühle is generally well-liked: Her supervisor promotes her to head of marketing at the Hamburg welfare association, and the employees at the sheltered workshop also appreciate her dedication. But suddenly, a discriminatory post about ableism appears on Lena's social media account. It has been hacked. At the same time, she receives threatening letters, pieced together from words cut out of the association's newsletter. Whoever wants to harm Lena Schühle is clearly someone from her professional circle. For Lukas Petersen and Bente Hinrichs, more and more suspects come into consideration. When a fake video featuring Lena Schühle is released and an explosive device detonates in her mailbox, it's clear: The person who wants to destroy her reputation is prepared to do anything to achieve their goal. Meanwhile, at Precinct 14, the officers say goodbye to their watch commander, Helmut Husmann, who is taking early retirement and moving to Denmark to manage a miniature golf course. Daniel Schirmer is tasked with reviewing applications for Helmut's position-and rejects each one with a different excuse.

It's an unequal contest between young Alicia and Nele, Alicia's father's girlfriend: both desperately want to participate in the Atlantic Challenge, an international rowing competition across the ocean. Even though Nele is well-trained, she can't keep up with Alicia's physical capabilities due to their age difference. After a training session, Alicia collapses unconscious into the water. Lab tests reveal that her water bottle contained a performance-enhancing drug, to which Alicia suffers a life-threatening allergic reaction. Alicia has always vehemently rejected doping. Who would secretly use amphetamines to boost her muscle power to peak performance? Harry Möller and Nils Sanchez also suspect Alicia's ambitious father, Jan Trebus, who had recently bought performance-enhancing drugs from the rowing club's bartender and now fears for his daughter's life. Meanwhile, Tarkan Yildiz (Özgür Karadeniz) begins his service at Precinct 14 and, as a welcome gift, brings a foosball table into the station, which has to be hidden from Ms. Küppers. But, as usual, nothing escapes the chief's notice.

Pirates are no longer just feared on the high seas, but have also become a criminal business model in land-based freight transport. When truck driver Charlie Kellinghusen and her truck vanish without a trace, the officers from Precinct 14 and Charlie's distraught wife, Susi, initially assume it's a missing person case. But by chance, Bente Hinrichs and Lukas Petersen come across another truck loaded with coffee beans. It's the cargo Charlie had previously loaded. Alongside their investigation, Nils Sanchez and Tarkan Yildiz discover coffee as a ritual and enthusiastically experiment with all sorts of herbs and spices to refine the aroma of the hot beverage. A fuss that Daniel Schirmer, however, finds completely unappealing.

Nikki and Aishe are not only colleagues at the security service, but also close friends. While the ever-cheerful Nikki is on cloud nine just before her wedding, Aishe remains grounded and earns money as a security guard to study. One evening, the parcel center they guard together is broken into. Nikki gets in the way of the perpetrator, but he manages to escape with a bag full of fentanyl vials: an anesthetic that, when cut, is worth a fortune as a drug and is extremely dangerous. Nikki remembers the burglar's familiar cell phone ringtone most vividly. Harry Möller and Nils Sanchez also recognize the melody, but they can't recall the name of the song. They do, however, notice that Aishe's brother was released from prison a few weeks ago. Furthermore, the folder containing all the access codes and information about the parcel center is missing from the security office. The boss fires Aishe and Nikki. She is now without a job and possibly without a wedding - and for the first time, she is no longer in a good mood, but fed up.

After four years of service with the German Armed Forces in Afghanistan, Karsten Höller suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. The veteran struggles to manage stressful situations, especially when they arise from a perceived threat. In the socially disadvantaged neighborhood where Höller lives, such a threat comes from a dangerous youth gang. However, their primary target is the newly arrived Emil Petrovic, whom the violent boys regularly bully. Even the warnings from Harry Möller and Nils Sanchez fall on deaf ears. Because Höller wants to protect Emil, he too becomes a target of the gang. When one of the boys is found unconscious a short time later, Emil is in grave danger. Höller hides him in his apartment. However, the veteran also keeps his weapon there.

Helping people is Dr. Jan Winterfeld's mission: As a doctor in Hamburg's red-light district, he's there for its residents, even beyond providing medical care and regular office hours. His brother Tobias runs a bar in St. Pauli, but it attracts more problems than customers - he's on the verge of bankruptcy. His brother's refusal to provide financial support nearly pushes the already strained relationship between the two to the brink of collapse. When Nils Sanchez and Harry Möller find the doctor injured and unconscious after a break-in, Tobias becomes a suspect. Especially since ten packages of codeine, easily sold in the red-light district, have disappeared from the medicine cabinet. But then the investigators observe Jan Winterfeld's receptionist buying drugs. At the precinct, Bente Hinrichs leaves patrol duty on short notice after precinct chief Küppers offers her a transfer to the operations unit - a career advancement. Lukas Petersen is happy for Bente but also deeply regrets that his partner will be leaving the precinct.

Sasha Schütte has saved up 3,000 euros for her first car - and plans to buy her neighbor Oskar Röver's vehicle. But shortly before signing the contract, the situation takes an unexpected turn: Oskar wants to celebrate the change of ownership with her by drinking hard liquor and becomes uncomfortably pushy. When Daniel Schirmer and Lukas Petersen chase down and catch a speeding driver, Sasha Schütte is in the car with two friends, but none of them are behind the wheel. All three claim they weren't driving. The car is registered to Oskar Röver. As it becomes clear that none of the women are telling the truth, and the investigators find a large pool of blood in Oskar Röver's apartment, the situation escalates into a life-threatening situation.

A tragic accident has shaken parents, teachers, and students: Ten-year-old Anton was hit by a car right in front of the school and died from his injuries. Grief is mixed with anger at the police, because officers from Precinct 14 are unable to identify the driver. According to a witness statement from headmistress Christina Harms, the vehicle involved was a dark SUV, the kind driven by Bella Carstensen, who takes her daughter Zoe to school every morning. But there is no evidence that she is the perpetrator. For Sören Rissmann, however, the case is clear, and he is determined to portray Bella Carstensen as the murderer. When, shortly afterward, his own son Piet is also allegedly hit by her car, a wave of hatred crashes down on the woman, which also affects her daughter. Harry Möller and Nils Sanchez, along with the entire team, are working under intense pressure on the case. The examination of the SUV after Piet's accident leads to a surprising twist.
