A British series about the offbeat romance between two reluctant sweethearts: Laura, a dowdy woman in her late 30s, and Mike, a reticent middle-aged bachelor.

Dame Edna Everage, the gladiola-loving Australian 'housewife,' hosts this talk-show spoof. The self-proclaimed megastar, fond of calling her fans 'possums,' is the alter ego of actor Barry Humphries. Wearing trademark oversized glasses and sequined gown, the comic starred in numerous other TV shows and specials, including 'Dame Edna's Hollywood,' 'Dame Edna Kisses It Better,' 'Dame Edna's Neighbourhood Watch' and 'A Night on Mount Edna.'

The second series finds our unassuming detective inspector, "Dangerous" Davies, discreetly sorting out secrets that whatever is left of the police power can barely be messed with. Davison makes Davies one of TV's unlikeliest legends, and one of its most engaging: we see his self-questions, individual agonies, and detective thought processes all expressed fleetingly across his craggy face.
