Gaffney Chicago Medical Center has a new COO: Gwen Garrett (Heather Headley). Right from the get-go, she and Chief of Services Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkenson) lock horns over various hospital issues. These issues include Dr. Connor Rhodes' (Colin Donnell) move to set up a hybrid operating room in the Emergency Department. Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) has a falling out with Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo) over his decision to keep to himself his suspicions about Reese's father (Michel Gill). Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) get engaged and prepare for their wedding. In the process, Halstead gets roped into an FBI investigation. Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) discover a secret that may affect Choi's sister Emily (Arden Cho). Season 4 of Chicago Med also stars Norma Kuhling as Dr. Ava Bekker and Marlyne Barrett as Maggie Lockwood.
