Ninety years earlier, vampire Hal and werewolf Lady Catherine unsuccessfully attempted to end the war created by the devil through the Trinity between werewolves, vampires and ghosts. In the present, Alex searches for her body with Tom's help so that she may pass over, but discovers herself listed as drowned and already processed. The sinister Dominic Rook approaches Hal and tries to tempt him with a supply of blood if he will engineer a vampire take-over. Hal refuses but shortly thereafter becomes responsible for office worker Ian "Crumb" Cran being run over. To prevent Ian dying, Hal turns him into a vampire and imprisons him in the cellar. Alex finds and, unaware of repercussions, releases him, whereby Ian returns to work, kills a colleague, and finds himself more respected as an undead fiend than ever before in life. Rook, summoned by the Home Secretary, learns his department is to be closed, causing him to fear for the future of his 'tenants'. Rook collects Ian from the office and takes him away whilst Tom and Hal start work at the Barry Grand Hotel as waiters. Here the sinister and cantankerous guest Captain Hatch whispers into the ear of a waitress, who consequently kills herself after writing He Will Rise in her blood.

A British sketch comedy series featuring a wide range of characters, each with unique and humorous quirks, created and performed by Catherine Tate.

Ben is a dentist who'd like to see his children move out of the house as soon as possible because all he wants is peace and quiet. His eldest son Nick - who later on in the series does move out - is a complete idiot and a no-good who can't hold on to any of the various jobs he has. Daughter Janey is very shallow and not very picky when it comes to boys while son Michael is way too smart for Ben and doesn't feel the need to communicate much with his father. His curious wife Susan clearly makes all the decisions in the household. Later on in the series, Ben gets an assistant at work, goofy and naive Roger, and when Janey finally moves out, no-brainer Abby moves in, while Janey keeps visiting, sometimes bringing along her little son, Kenzo. So much for Ben's peace and quiet.
