The roommates see Anton's coworkers on TV cheering him on in the New York marathon. After Anton reveals that he lied and told his coworkers he enjoys running, his friends decide to help him sell the lie by sneaking him in to a small stretch of the marathon. While prepping at a cafe, Issa breaks up with her latest boyfriend after Samir tells her to stop dating boys who need fixing. Moments later, an exhausted Paul Baker enters the cafe and collapses on the floor, and Issa jumps to help him. Samir later admonishes her for taking in another stray, but she insists that she put him in an Uber and sent him away. Anton successfully fools his coworkers, but they later show up at the house to surprise him. While Anton rushes to "return home", he runs into Paul Baker on the couch: Issa sent him to the house to recover after making out with him. Paul Baker is impressed that Anton's friends would go to such great lengths to lie for him, as he has never had friends that close before. Later, when Anton's coworkers ask to see the medal he doesn't have, Paul Baker gives Anton his own, lying to help him. Later, Paul Baker tells Issa that he ran the marathon to meet people since he just moved to New York. When Issa asks if he was successful, he smiles and says yes.
