Season 4 of the reality series is a direct continuation of the previous season: Colonel Mark Adger is back supervising the program, while former Marine Nate Burrell decided to extend his 60 days stay because of his positive rapport with the inmates. Joining them for another round of undercover work trying to uncover illegal activities are writer Angele Cooper, who would like to work in the rehabilitation of former prisoners, paralegal Jaclin Owen, who wants to better understand the criminal justice system, former prison chaplain Matt Fellows and his son Andrew, and officer Alan Oliver, who wants to observe the behaviors of correction officers.
