The reality series' third season features a change of scenery: the volunteers now go undercover as inmates at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta under the supervision of Colonel Mark Adger. Most of the new cast has personal interest in the program: Don's father and brothers have a history of being in and out of jail, Gerson was part of a gang in the 80s and 90s, Mauri used to work as a correctional officer and is appalled at the lack of care for the inmates' mental health, and Jessica met her husband while he was in prison and she wants to understand some of his behaviors.
