After being possessed by Michael, who used his body to commit unspeakable acts while building his own super army, it's safe to say that Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) has had a rough time so far in Season 14 of Supernatural. The traumatic event will have unforeseen consequences and it looks like he'll continue to grapple with what has been done to him in the days to come. In this sneak peek of Thursday's episode, Dean opens up about what been bothering him since he returned.
"It's just every time I think about it, you know, it's like a nightmare. I mean, I can't eat. I can't sleep. It's always just there, watching," he says in the video. However, the thing that keeps him up at night is not what you think it is. It turns that Dean is particularly perturbed by Sam's (Jared Padalecki) lack of grooming.
"Dean, it's just a beard. I've been a little busy lately," Sam tells him. I mean, he has a point. Leading a group of eager Apocalypse World hunters while searching for your brother whose body has been hijacked by an archangel from said alternate world doesn't leave much time for shaving. With so much on his plate, it's understandable that Sam would be rocking a full set of whiskers. Even so, Dean isn't buying that excuse and slams his younger bro with a Duck Dynasty quip that doesn't seem to bother Sam in the least bit.
"Some people say I look good," Sam hits backs at Dean, who remains wholly unconvinced that the beard is a good look. "No Sam. No people say that," Dean adds.
Whether you agree with Dean or not, it's just nice to see the brothers share this light-hearted moment together given the mountain of problems they must face this season.
