In a Bachelorettefirst, two women - Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nillson - have both been named the stars of Season 11.

"Here's the thing, we actually decided not to decide. We're going to have two Bachelorettes. It is going to be Britt and Kaitlyn," host Chris Harrison announced during The Bachelor's "After the Final Rose" special. "The 25 men on Night 1 are going to have the ultimate say about who they think would make the best wife."

Both ladies were front-runners for the gig following their respective exits. Britt, who received Chris' first impression rose this past season, had a somewhat shocking exit when their instantaneous and electric connection brought out Britt's jealousy. The 27-year-old was sent home just before hometown dates.

The Bachelor's Chris Harrison: I don't understand the hatred towards Britt

Kaitlyn also made an immediate first impression on both Chris, and viewers, when during their introduction she said, "You can plow the f--- out of my field any day." Kaitlyn continued to charm the farmer with her sense of humor and down-to-earth personality - not to mention her rap skills - but was ultimately left brokenhearted after their overnight date in Bali.

"I'm super grateful, I think it's an amazing opportunity, it's more than I can comprehend. I'm still having a lot of trouble processing it and I love Kaitlyn so we'll just see how it goes," Britt said when she and Kaitlyn came on stage. "I think we discussed we'll end up in the same hot tub at some point," Kaitlyn then joked, but more honestly added, "What went through my mind was, 'Well that's not ideal'... but if that's what it takes to find somebody."

When had spoken to host Harrison earlier about Kaitlyn as a Bachelorette contender little did we know just how much he was teasing the twist. "I think Kaitlyn would be a mix between Jillian [Harris] and say, if Michelle Money had been the Bachelorette. She has a great sense of humor, a quick wit, she's smart, I think she'd be very good," he said adding, "I'm torn because I think Britt would be phenomenal too. They would be very different seasons, but both very good. And Kaitlyn does have that emotional side people don't give her credit for because she carried a lot of the 'funny' this season. But there's a lot more to her which you saw on Women Tell All." Following Britt's exit, Harrison had also told us, "She's beautiful, she's articulate; it would be very emotional, and the guys would be very happy. She's definitely a candidate for sure.

While this is the first duo for the Bachelorette franchise, it's happened on The Bachelor before. On the premiere of Season 6, the women voted between real-estate agent Jay Overbye and pro fisherman Byron Velvick, with Byron winning the majority and ultimately ending the installment engaged to Mary Delgado.
