Crock-Pot Gate continues.
After This Is Us revealed that the cause of the house fire that killed the patriarch of the Pearson Five began by way of a faulty Crock-Pot, the company found itself on the defensive, ensuring fans on social media that its products do not, as the episode suggests, spontaneously erupt and take out heartthrobby TV dads at random.
Now, the show itself wants to ensure fans that there are no hard feelings with a Super Bowl ad that features (Milo Ventimiglia) supping on some chili cooked in -- you guessed it -- a Crock-Pot.
Crock-Pot Defends Itself After This Is Us Tragedy
Of course, the post-game episode that's to come -- which is expected to show the fall-out of the fire, including how the resulting fire claimed Jack's life -- might suggest otherwise.
This Is Us will air a special episode after the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 4 on NBC.
