Crock-Pot Gate continues.

AfterThis Is Us revealed that the cause of the house fire that killed the patriarch of the Pearson Five began by way of a faulty Crock-Pot, the company found itself on the defensive, ensuring fans on social media that its products do not, as the episode suggests, spontaneously erupt and take out heartthrobby TV dads at random.

Now, the show itself wants to ensure fans that there are no hard feelings with a Super Bowl ad that features (Milo Ventimiglia) supping on some chili cooked in -- you guessed it -- a Crock-Pot.

Crock-Pot Defends Itself After This Is Us Tragedy

"In 2018, gathering friends and family is not as easy as what it used to be. The country is divided. Sometimes that can make it tough to find common ground, but this year... this year, I think we should all take a deep breath, find the ability to forgive, and remind ourselves there is no difference so great that we can't overcome it," he says, ushering in the hashtag #CrockPotIsInnocent.

Of course, the post-game episode that's to come -- which is expected to show the fall-out of the fire, including how the resulting fire claimed Jack's life -- might suggest otherwise.

This Is Us will air a special episode after the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 4 on NBC.
