Now that Jessica Jones Season 3 is here, the Marvel-Netflix partnership is officially done, and fans will have to wait for at least two years to find out if J2 or any of her fellow superhero stand-alones from the streaming service will follow the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe over to Disney+.

While the stars of Marvel's Daredevil have expressed a sincere interest in reprising their characters at the MCU's new streaming home, the leading lady of Jessica Jones is ready to put a pin in her leather jacket and say goodbye to the character for good with its last season.

The Defenders Is What Actually Killed Netflix's Marvel Television Universe

Speaking to TVLine, Krysten Ritter said that she's comfortable walking away from the role which helped cement the actress' status as a household name after debuting in 2015.

"Do I think I'll play her again? I don't think so," she told the site. "I feel like I've played her, you know? I feel really good about it. I feel good about closing the door."

Jessica Jones was one of the last series in the Netflix-MCU batch to be canceled, with its ax dropping in February 2019 ahead of the third season's premiere. According to Variety, the contracts for Jones, Iron Fist,Luke Cage, and Daredevil require that the characters appear in no non-Netflix series for at least two years, which means even if Ritter did want to reprise the role, she wouldn't be able to do so until 2021.

Jessica Jones Season 3 is now available on Netflix.
