There's lots of shuffling on the CBS fall slate, as the network will move veterans CSI, The Good Wife and Rules of Engagement to new slots to pave way for five new shows.
J.J. Abrams' new thriller Person of Interest, starring Michael Emerson, will take over CSI's longtime Thursdays-at-9 berth, pushing the procedural to Wednesdays at 10/9c.Preceding Person of Interest at 8:30/7:30c is the new comedy How to Be a Gentleman starring David Hornsby.
The network's other new sitcom, 2 Broke Girls will follow How I Met Your Mother on Mondays at 8:30/7:30c.
The Good Wife will head into its third season on Sundays at 9/8c, giving up its Tuesdays-at-10 slot to the Poppy Montgomery-fronted Unforgettable. Fellow new drama A Gifted Man, starring Patrick Wilson, will anchor Fridays at 8/7c.
Resurrecting original scripted programming on Saturdays, CBS will air Rules at 8/7c that day.
Held to midseason: The Robert De Niro-produced cop drama The 2-2 (formerly Rookies).
