CBS has ordered the cop drama The 2-2 (formerly Rookies), the Poppy Montgomery-starring detective drama Unforgettable, Susannah Grant's A Gifted Man and the sitcom How to Be a Gentleman, which comes via It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia scribe David Hornsby.
In The 2-2-, six new NYPD cops try to balance their personal lives while working the mean streets of Manhattan. Robert De Niro, crime novelist Richard Price (Clockers) and Little Fockers producer Jane Rosenthal will executive-produce. Adam Goldberg and Leelee Sobieski will star.
Inspired by J. Robert Lennon's short story "The Rememberer," Unforgettable follows a female NYPD detective (Montgomery) who has the special ability to remember everything. Ed Redlich and John Bellucci will executive-produce.
A Gifted Man (which TVGuide.com had spotlighted as one of its 11 Promising Pilots) centers on an ultra-competitive surgeon (Patrick Wilson) whose life is changed forever when his ex-wife (Jennifer Ehle) dies and begins teaching him about life from the hereafter.
On the comedy side, How to Be a Gentleman features an uptight guy (Hornsby) who learns to live his life with the help of an old high school friend (Kevin Dillon).
The network's lineup will be clearer come Wednesday, when CBS presents its upfront.
