Reliving the moments of high drama from The Bachelorette's reunion shows
She says it's an "anti self-help" book"
Find out when it'll air!
It's no secret that The Bachelorette's Chris Soules was a front-runner to star on The Bachelor. He's hot, successful, left his season broken-hearted — all the makings for the perfect lead. But with another past fan-favorite -- Arie from Emily Maynard's season -- also in talks for the gig, host Chris Harrison says the decision came down to the wire.
ABC has chosen Chris Soules as the next star of The Bachelor, it was announced Wednesday on Good Morning America. "I was humbled, flattered, grateful," he said during the reveal. "Coming from a small town I never expected to have this opportunity to be on either show, let alone be the lead on The Bachelor. So it's been awesome." Soules, 32, became a fan-favorite on the most recent season of The Bachelorette and made it to the Final 3. During his fantasy suite date with Andi, she decided to let him go before the night was over. Following his exit, the Iowa farmer told us, "It's OK to [be vulnerable]. When I get the opportunity with the right person, I can do that and still survive if it doesn't work out and still do it again. This helped me learn a lot about myself and how to cope and put yourself in situations and manage it as an adult and without family and friends. I know it helped me grow."
After one of the toughest seasons in the show's history — and certainly the most tragic — The Bachelorette has ended with a happy engagement. The last suitor to exit the limo on the first night, Josh caught Andi's attention immediately, but she remained skeptical of him because he was a former pro athlete. Still, the Tampa native remained a frontrunner and eventually won her over. In fact, she was so smitten that she dumped Nick the morning of the final rose ceremony. After Andi was finally able to profess her love, Josh got down on one knee, proposed and she said, "Yes!"
Bachelorette host Chris Harrison wastes no time asking Andi the most pressing question on Monday's Men Tell All episode: Is she pregnant? Every season, the show's rejected men and women reunite to hash out the season, while the star gets to come face-to-face with all of their exes. Monday's episode is also a chance for Harrison to address rumors, including the recent — and very ridiculous -- one that Andi is pregnant after her Fantasy Suite dates.
The Bachelorette's fan-favorite farmer exited in the most heartbreaking goodbye of the season. On Monday's episode, Andi chose to forgo her individual room for the fantasy suite with both Nick and Josh but went into her final date with Chris unsure of what her decision would be. After a fun day of horseback riding, followed by Chris expressing his feelings for her even more during dinner, Andi realized she couldn't see a future with the Iowa native and that she didn't want to put him through another rose ceremony. The two parted ways and although devastated, Chris never wavered from being the gentleman he was all season long. Does Chris have any regrets about his journey? Did Andi really not know she was going to send him home that week? The two weigh in. Plus: Does Chris want Andi to choose Nick or Josh?
The Bachelorette's hometown week might've ended on a very sad note, but before that it was nothing but love from the families for Andi. This week, Andi headed to the homes of Marcus, Josh, Nick and Chris where two of the men in particular pulled out all the stops to show her their love. But despite Marcus' openness with his feelings — and his incredible striptease — Andi let him go during what turned out to be a devastating rose ceremony following the news of Eric's death.
