Truth or Consequences, one of the most popular game shows from the early days of TV, could be making a comeback. The Gurin Company, which produces Oh Sit! for The CW, has licensed the rights to the show and is currently shopping it to networks. "Truth or Consequences is a great collection of game, stunt, hidden camera, reunions, surprises, strange talents and unique guests," says Phil Gurin, president and CEO of The Gurin Company. "It's just a really fun show. We're taking the original show and making it bigger." Truth or Consequences ran for 38 years on radio and TV, including on both CBS and NBC, and later in syndication. The show, which Gurin licensed from Ralph Edwards Productions (which launched it on radio in 1939), was Bob Barker's first TV job in 1956. NBC's Chicago Fire World Premiere Event Honors Real-life Firefighters
The producers behind NBC's new drama Chicago Fire continue to take pains to accurately reflect the real world of firefighters — to the point that the show regularly hires off-duty Chicago Fire Department members as extras. It is in that spirit that the drama's world premiere screening, to be held in Chicago, will honor several generations of Windy City firefighters. More than 100 Chicago firefighters and their families — many of whom come from a long line of firefighters — will be on hand Tuesday night at the Chicago History Museum to celebrate the launch of the show.

It looks like Donald Glover will be engaging in some extracurricular work outside of Greendale Community College. The Community star, who plays former high school quarterback-turned-air conditioning repair annex recruit Troy Barnes, is developing a new show for NBC with 30 Rock co-executive producer Matt Hubbard.The new sitcom is being developed as a starring vehicle for Glover. NBC is said to be committed to the project, and is close to sealing a deal for a put pilot (with a large penalty fee if it doesn't move forward) for the show, which would be loosely based on Glover's life.
