Question: Any info on Fox's new fall show Prison Break? They were promoting it like crazy during 24. Is it worth watching? — Jennifer Ausiello: Yes, ma'am, it most certainly is. I screened the pilot over the weekend (notice a trend here?) and, unlike the aforementioned Inside, Prison Break knocked my Gold Toes off. It totally has the potential to be another 24, although given the conceit — superstar-in-the-making Wentworth Miller hatches an elaborate plan to break his bro out of the pokey — I don't see how Fox could get more than one season out of it. Of course, we all thought the same thing about Lost and look how that turned out.

Question: Now that this riveting TV season is over, what are the new shows worth watching over the summer? Is The Inside any good? — John Talcott Ausiello: I watched the first two episodes over the weekend, and given its pedigree — it was created by Angel's Tim Minear and 24's Howard Gordon — I was massively disappointed. Basically, if Medium and Profiler were to have sex, get pregnant and give birth to a really boring baby, its name would be The Inside. And nothing against leading lady Rachel Nichols; I'm sure she's a very nice person, but she's woefully miscast here. Paris Hilton would have made a more convincing FBI agent. As far as summer recommendations go, Beauty and the Geek is a hoot, Lisa Kudrow's HBO Comeback improves in its second episode and TNT's big-budget Western Into the West features my girl Keri in pure period splendor.

Did Sasha want to leave the show? — Josh Ausiello: Based on the avalanche of e-mails I received just seconds after the finale aired last week, I don't think anyone saw that killer twist coming. But to answer your question, yeah, Sasha wanted out. Series creator Donald Bellisario told my colleague Mary Murphy that Sasha approached him in March and asked to be released from her contract. "She came in with tears in her eyes," he recalls, "and said, 'I never worked this hard in my life. I just don't have the stamina to do it [anymore].'" So, Bellisario says he was faced with two choices: make the actress honor her contract or write her exit into the story.
