Question: Well instead of demanding scoop on something, I thought I would say thank you for answering our questions.Answer: If you're trying to get me to cry, it's working. Happy?
Question: Happy early birthday! What do you want? If you're lucky, I might get it for you.Answer: Just your unconditional love. And a gift certificate to B&H Photo. Papa needs a new digital camera. (And by papa, I mean me.)
Question: I don't know what you're talking about. I absolutely hated the end of last week's Gilmore Girls. It would have been so much more effective if the Friday-night dinner had been the main plot of the episode rather than a short clip-show afterthought.Answer: I thought it worked. But I agree with you on one thing: The dinner should have gotten more airtime. There was certainly enough material.
Question: You mentioned that a preliminary schedule is floating around for CW. Care to share?Answer: Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars are on on the same night. And as I told you last week, Everwood is MIA. Can't say more than that without compromising Dawn Ostroff's limo driver my source.
Question: Any more info you'd like to share with us about the Aquaman spin-off? Know of any other characters yet?Answer: “It’s basically from the comics," says executive producer Al Gough in an interview I cribbed from my colleague, Damian Holbrook. "He has his dad, and then there's this other older character who is a little bit of a mentor. And then he’ll have contemporaries who are his own age." And despite all that CW drama, production on the pilot is still slated to get under way next month.
Question: Do you think I could ever meet Gillian Anderson? I'm one of her biggest fans. I used to dye my hair like hers, and she inspired me to get into acting and now I'm joining a vocational school for acting.Answer: I could probably arrange a meeting provided you show up heavily sedated and wearing a straitjacket.
Question: Will Surface be returning next season?Answer: Based on the ratings for Monday's finale — it finished in fourth place with 9.5 million viewers — I'm going to go out on a limb and say no.
Question: I thought you might appreciate that for my birthday, my best guy friend surprised me with an Ask Ausiello T-shirt. Best. Gift. Ever! And not just because I’m secretly in love with this friend.Answer: Did you see? They're now available on Amazon.com!
Question: I need spoilers on the new season of The Sopranos. I can't wait! Answer: You're in luck. HBO just released these spoilers teasers for the first three episodes. March 12 — "Members Only": Tony ponders an associate's retirement request and shares a recent windfall with Carmela. Junior takes Tony on a backyard treasure hunt; Hesh seeks restitution for a wrong perpetrated on his son-in-law. March 19 "Join the Club": Tony suffers from a case of mistaken identity during a West Coast business trip. March 26 "Mayhem": Silvio divides the spoils from Paulie's latest score and heads off a territorial impasse between Bobby and Vito. Carmela turns to an unexpected source for help with AJ; Christopher turns to an old writing acquaintance, JT Dolan, for help in a new venture.
Question: Congrats on the office. I'm very happy for you! Do you need anything special in order to decorate?Answer: I only moved in a week ago, so, as you can see by these photos, it's a work in progress. But you tell me: What do you think it needs?
Question: Any ER scoop?Answer: More trouble for Neela and Michael — and I'm not talking about her attraction to Ray. Michael's parents are coming to town, and Mama Gallant is going to give Neela the lowdown on being a military wife. Suffice it to say, she's going to freak.
Question: Any spoilers on The Shield?Answer: Sounds like this season's eighth episode is going to be phenomenal. Not only is Anthony Anderson back, but a member of the Strike Team is going to get arrested.
Question: Give me some great O.C. scoop! Thanks! Answer: During May sweeps, Marissa's going to fall back off the wagon, but it's Seth who finds himself attending an AA meeting (that's Alcoholics Anonymous, not Ask Ausiello).
Question: Michael Vartan is supposedly signed to do four more episodes of Alias. Will it be as a ghost?Answer: OK, major-ass prattle here: According to Pinkner, Vartan is actually returning for five, possibly six, episodes, beginning with the second one back this spring (that's Episode 99, for those keeping track at home). And I'll let Jeff address the second part of your question: "As we've said from the beginning, the rumors of Vaughn's death were nothing more than rumors. In this world, don't take anything at face value. We'll know by the end of the 99th episode exactly where he is and if he's alive or not."
Question: You are no longer consigned to a cubicle? Wow, congratulations! Couldn't have happened to a nicer, more intelligent (and do you work out? You look great!) person. Now, can I please have some scoop on Alias? Or Lost. Or Smallville? Please?Answer: You had me at "Do you work out?" Here's some Smallville dirt: Episode 16 is sure to be slapped with a Beef Wellington warning when a mysterious woman shows up wearing a hypnotic crystal and turns Clark into her sex slave. Naturally, Lana walks in on them just as they're about to bump humps. She'll eventually forgive him — he was in a trance, after all — but it's still the end of the road for Supercouple. After seeing how much pain hiding his true identity always seems to cause her, Clark decides that the time has come to break things off. Guess whose shoulder she cries on? If you picked Lex, you're right!
Question: Save Everwood! I just put my letter in the mail to Dawn Ostroff!Answer: I hope you remembered a stamp this time!
Question: I need some House spoilers, and preferably ones not involving Stacy.Answer: Well that shouldn't be too difficult since Sela Ward's final episode aired last night. I can tell you that in the wake of Stacy's exit, House is going to literally give himself a migraine next week. He's also going to partake in some rebound sex, but not with anyone whose name begins with C. Speaking of the big C, did you not die last night when House said, "Cameron, I love you," and then stole a sample of her saliva for the HIV test? I did.
Question: You reported last week that we will soon see Dr. Mark Sloan on Grey's Anatomy. That's the same character that Dick Van Dyke played on Diagnosis: Murder. I love Grey's, but could they not come up with a better, more original name? Answer: Don't shoot the messenger, buddy.
Question: When did you guest-star on Gilmore Girls?Answer: I'm a little insulted that you're asking me that, but here's a link to the story.
Question: Are you sure Milo Ventimiglia isn't returning to Gilmore Girls? The word on the street is that Jess is coming back, but for Luke this time.Answer: Clearly, I've been hanging out on the wrong streets. I did a little more digging and it turns out you're right — Milo/Jess is in fact returning for one episode in April. Don't know much else at the moment except that AS-P's other half, Daniel Palladino, is penning the script.
Question: Any hints or guesses about when Jim and Pam may finally get together on The Office? Will they make us wait until next season?Answer: I'm guessing the producers are gonna drag this out for as long as they can. They've got a good thing going with this whole unrequited love thing and they know it. Speaking of Jam, I hear they're going to take a fun-filled field trip to their local CVS pharmacy in one of the last episodes of the season. Also, someone in the office is going to get cancer — but, naturally, it's Michael who plays the victim. This person's grim diagnosis falls on Michael's birthday, casting a pall over the festivities.
Question: I loved the final act of last Tuesday's Gilmore Girls. It was so freaking hilarious!Answer: Did you know that AS-P got the inspiration for the whole shaky-cam technique from Woody Allen? At least that's what she told the Chicago Tribune.
