You never talk about Gilmore ...
Question: You never talk about Gilmore Girls anymore! What gives?Answer: I'm inclined to think I more than made up for it this week, Candy. But here's another extra spoilery tidbit, you ungrateful brat: A somewhat reliable Stars Hollow mole tells me that Episode 13 marks a major turning point in the Luke-Lorelai-Christopher triangle. Apparently, Luke and Christopher choose to deal with Richard's health crisis in very different ways: Luke chooses to run around helping Emily, while Christopher chooses to go off and sulk about a bad fight he had with Lorelai. Cue the inevitable Lorelai epiphany.
Although I don't believe that ...
Question: Although I don't believe that the Lost producers are obsessing over police blotters (re: the deaths of Eko, Libby and Ana Lucia), I do think that we should take up a collection to ensure that Elizabeth Mitchell has a driver available at all times. Rodrigo Santoro is on his own, however. In fact, I would encourage him to break traffic laws.Answer: Taking it a step further, if Kiele Sanchez is swerving behind Rodrigo without a license or registration, even better.
Smallville! Enough about ...
Question: Smallville! Enough about Lois, we want some really awesome Chloe spoilers!Answer: Fans are going to feel as put off as Chloe when she finds out that Jimmy and Lois struck up a secret deal to work together on exposing the Green Arrow. She'll also get to lay into Clark after he gets snippy with her for keeping Lana's little secret. Turns out Miss Sullivan will only take so much from a fella she's been protecting all these years.
I completely agree that ...
Question: I completely agree that Brothers & Sisters is the best show right now on TV period. Got any scoop?Answer: As I reported in the new issue of TV Guide (with Addison and McSteamy on the cover), a big gay romance is on the horizon for Scotty-free Kevin. I'm not allowed to reveal who his new admirer is, but I can say that it's someone with ties to Kitty, and it's a really fun twist. And this new guy is not the one-night stand Kev picks up in an upcoming episode.
How great is Friday Night ...
Question: How great is Friday Night Lights? Scoop?Answer: So great that NBC picked it up for an entire season! [The crowd roars] But that's old news. Here's some new news: I hear FNL is moving to Sundays at 8 pm in January. That works for me!
Jim and Pam? Pam and Roy? Jim ...
Question: Jim and Pam? Pam and Roy? Jim and Karen? Pam and Michael? Help me out! This Office is a little too crowded for me!Answer: Don't hate me, but I'm all about Jim and Karen. Jam is so 2005. Pam had her chance, and she blew it. BTW, has it ever been established why exactly she rejected him? Perhaps she had a brain hemorrhage earlier that day?
Any Office scoop?
Question: Any Office scoop?Answer: I watched a screener of tomorrow night's supersize "Merger" episode, and I have to say, it's the best of the season. Even Dwight — who, IMHO, is the most overrated character in the history of TV comedy — had me spewing Snapple across my living room. [Spoiler alert] When Dwight finds his position as Michael's No. 2 threatened by Stamford Andy, a new Office rivalry is born. But they're both in for a surprise when Jan steps in and appoints someone else as the No. 2. Over in Jam-land, Pam's jubilance over having Jim around again is cut short by a piece of chewing gum — Karen's chewing gum.
The promos for this week's ...
Question: The promos for this week's Smallville say, "The last five seconds will leave you stunned!" Any idea what that is?Answer: I'm guessing it's an eight-letter word that starts with "P" and ends with "L."
Seriously, they need to get ...
Question: Seriously, they need to get that cute accountant on Ugly Betty back on the show!Answer: He's coming back! Christopher Gorham reprises his role as Betty's nerdy "Mode" crush on Nov. 30.
I'm sure you noticed that on ...
Question: I'm sure you noticed that on last Tuesday's Gilmore Girls, "Yale" was really USC. You should have flown out to show Chris and Lor around campus!Answer: Think they'll still be there on Saturday for the USC-Cal game? 'Cause I will! Fight on, USC! Beat the Golden Bears! On that note, head on over to the Ask Ausiello discussion thread in the Ausiello Report to wish me luck on Scrubs! And while you're there, if you wanna talk about something you read in AA, that's cool, too. Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't thank intern Scott for the minor contribution he made to this week's column. I could've done it without him! (No, really. I could've.)
Will we ever find out why ...
Question: Will we ever find out why James Conlon (David James Elliott) left New York for Indiana on Close to Home?Answer: I'm going to pass this question off to exec producer Eric Overmyer: "James was originally from Indiana. His grandparents had a farm downstate. His parents were moneyed people (no indication yet of what exactly they did to become wealthy). James moved to NYC and actually was married and had a daughter there. His ex-wife and teenage daughter still live in NYC. James is an ambitious man and saw that he wasn't gonna get far as fast as he would like in NYC. He thus moved back to Indiana and took his present job. But he is a climber. He has possible political ambitions." To hear DJE's take on Jimmy, listen to our latest podcast.
Your superpower is super ...
Question: Your superpower is super scoop. Save the world and give us some Heroes poop.Answer: Fanboys, prepare to piddle yourself. Christopher Eccleston — the original Dr. Who from the current Sci Fi/BBC series — is joining the cast in January in a really super (tee-hee) role. Speaking of cool casting, wait until you see who's ******* ****'s ****. You're going to flip.
On Grey's Anatomy, what is ...
Question: On Grey's Anatomy, what is Izzie going to spend the money on?Answer: [Spoiler alert] Another patient. I think. (So much for that whole, "Don't get attached, Izzie" edict.)
I always watch Numbers, but ...
Question: I always watch Numbers, but Friday's episode was twice the fun thanks to the guest actor playing Oswald! Any possibility he's going to be a recurring character?Answer: That was Just Legal's Jay Baruchel playing self-taught math whiz and sports nut Oswald, a character exec producer (and AAddict) Cheryl Heuton says she's "definitely interested" in having back. Baruchel is also best friends with David Krumholtz, so I imagine that has to help.
Your landmark AA column had ...
Question: Your landmark AA column had me thinking: The 150th episode of Gilmore Girls is coming up this season. Any scoop on what it might be about?Answer: I'm told it'll be just a regular episode. Warner Bros. doesn't really celebrate 150, just 100 and 200. Or, in the case of ER, 900.
Please tell me Fox is moving ...
Question: Please tell me Fox is moving The O.C. to Wednesdays.Answer: I wish I could. Regrettably, Fox has decided to keep it on Thursdays at 9 pm/ET. Maybe they were encouraged by the fact that, despite facing the likes of Grey's and CSI, last Thursday's O.C. actually added 400K viewers from the previous week. Sure, it's a small victory, but it's a victory nonetheless. Reminder: Do not miss tomorrow's episode. As I've been telling you, it's one of my favorite O.C.'s ever. It certainly boasts the coolest teaser ever. And tomorrow night, one of the greatest love stories of our time is born. I'm talking about Ryan and Taylor — and no, I'm not kidding. I may be exaggerating, but I am not kidding.
Any truth to the rumors of ...
Question: Any truth to the rumors of J.J. Abrams directing an episode of The Office?Answer: It's 100 percent true. The episode shoots in February and, well, that's all I know at this point.
I thought that your special ...
Question: I thought that your special 100th edition was lame.Answer: Oh yeah? Well... so was yours.
Congratulations on your 101st ...
Question: Congratulations on your 101st AA!Answer: How did you know it was my 101st column!? Did you go back to the beginning and count every single one? If so, I'm speechless. You, my friend, are a true AAdict.

I am in love with 30 Rock. I ...
Question: I am in love with 30 Rock. I think it's the funniest new show this year. Do think moving it to Thursdays is a vote of confidence or a death sentence?Answer: It's a definite vote of confidence. An even bigger vote of confidence is coming in the next week or so when NBC picks it up for a full season. In the meantime, here's a little scoop: Further proof that pedophiles are all the rage on the tube right now, Dateline NBC predator-snatcher Chris Hansen will make a cameo in an upcoming episode when someone very close to Liz gets unmasked as a you-know-what on national TV.
Were The Nine's ratings good ...
Question: Were The Nine's ratings good enough last week to stave off cancellation?Answer: It appears they were. It posted a modest increase, but that was apparently good enough to buy the show some more time. But like vultures stalking a carcass, producers from several high-profile series have been inquiring about the availability of several Nine regulars for possible guest spots. The response they're getting is that The Nine is still going and its cast members are not available.
