As usual, freshmen series did well at the Globes. Brooklyn Nine-Nine went two-for two in comedy/musical series and actor for Andy Samberg. House of Cards, which led the TV field with four nods, won drama actress for Robin Wright. Jon Voight won his fourth Globe in supporting actor for Ray Donovan.

12 Years a Slave, which co-led the film nods with Hustle with seven each, was literally shut out until the last minute when it won drama picture.
Cate Blanchett cemented her Oscar front-runner status by snagging her third Globe for Blue Jasmine in drama actress.
Dallas Buyers Club bagged drama actor for Matthew McConaughey and supporting honors for Jared Leto, while 10-time nominee Leonardo DiCaprio received his second statuette for comedy/musical actor in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Other winners include Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity) for director, Behind the Candelabra for TV movie/miniseries, Michael Douglas (Behind the Candelabra) for TV movie/miniseries actor, Elisabeth Moss (Top of the Lake) for TV movie/miniseries actress and Frozen for animated film.Diane Keaton accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award on Woody Allen's behalf.
