Ogmios introduces his world of The Zenway Code, a proposed new manual for calmer driving. His quest includes roundabout research in Swindon, and the ephemeral world of scooter boys, where his previous battle rap skills come into play.

Ogmios has a day of errands, where he gets to demonstrate his ethical pigeon dispersal method. Yet when one of the pigeons is stricken, he decides to care for it and reflects upon the pigeon's point of view.

Ogmios records the world of sound, and gets to consolidate his desire to meet a pothole man. He also experiences transcendent nothingness, and what he believes might be Esher's carpark. But there's the health of his car to concern him.

With his previous car having passed on to the next life, Ogmios must travel to Milton Keynes to buy a replacement from his Zen teacher. This means not only taking a scooter to get there, but returning to rap battling to pay for it.
