Nina Iacob drags her grumpy father, Erwin, to the Johannes Thal Clinic to see Dr. Matteo Moreau and resident physician Tamar Hummel. The Romanian of German descent has an injured ankle. This doesn't suit Erwin at all, as he has to take care of his farm in Romania on his own. This is also the reason for the strained relationship between father and daughter, because Nina left the farm, started a family, and now lives in Erfurt. Both struggle with the distance in their own way. But when Erwin decides against the planned surgery and opts for amputation, not only is Nina completely taken aback, but Tamar is also shocked by Matteo's willingness to perform the operation. Both women make it clear: not with me! Dr. Mikko Rantala and Sofia Galura are assigned to the emergency room when the lovable but nervous Gerrit Baumann is admitted. He fell off a ladder while decorating, but he actually has an even bigger problem: his best friend Eva is getting married. To his brother. Sofia and Mikko are puzzled - could it be that Gerrit himself feels more for Eva than he's willing to admit? With so many issues Leyla has to manage as head physician, it's fortunate that she has colleagues like Ivo and Julia who readily take tasks off her hands. However, both seem to be juggling other commitments as well: Ivo is trying to do several things at once, and Julia is helping Marc with his patient. Leyla begins to doubt whether she can rely on her colleagues' support.

Miteinander
50 mins
Dr. Julia Berger is caring for a long-term patient: Enno Capra has been suffering from leukemia for two years and is now recovering from a stem cell transplant. To protect his weakened immune system, Enno is not allowed to leave his isolation room. This doesn't stop him, however, from proposing to his partner, Nora Montag, through the window. But Nora reacts differently than he had hoped, and when she suddenly becomes a medical emergency herself, Enno, despite his broken heart, must decide on her treatment. Should he follow Julia's advice or listen to Nora's attending physician, Matteo Moreau? Instructor Dr. Ben Ahlbeck has arranged for the junior doctors to attend a two-day seminar. But shortly before their departure, he discovers that Sofia Galura, Tamar Hummel, Olli Probst, and Ivo Maric have neglected to register. Since Ben sees general deficiencies in team spirit and cooperation, he decides on an unusual step: He sends the residents out into the sticks. A former patient, survival expert Carsten Schuh, is supposed to turn the four bickering friends into a team during a camping trip. Easier said than done. But what could possibly go wrong in two days in nature? Leyla receives her absolute favorite pastry from her aunt. A kind gesture that leads to an unusual chain reaction: a row in the executive suite, a metal band in the emergency room, and a full-blown sugar rush to top it all off.

Karin also recognizes that he should slow down for health reasons, but Felix secretly can't bring himself to give up his career. The ambitious Sofia understands this. During the examination, she impresses Felix with her competence and self-confidence and promptly receives a tempting job offer. Should she accept it? Hannah Berger has broken her foot, but her husband, Wolfgang Berger, simply leaves her in the JTK parking lot. When Hannah confides in her daughter, Julia Berger, during the examination, Julia tries to talk some sense into her father. At the same time, Ivo is attentively caring for Hannah. Wolfgang is anything but thrilled by the young doctor's charm offensive and feels challenged. But it's really quite simple: Hannah doesn't want drama, she just wants more love! An old conflict also erupts between the brothers over the family business, while a time bomb is ticking in Robert's head. Is Mikko up to the challenge? The position of ward physician on probation is highly coveted among the residents. Tamar Hummel is all the more delighted to be the first of the four young doctors to take on this responsible role. Sofia Galura, on the other hand, is far from happy with her assignment: she is subordinate to Tamar, and trouble is quick to follow. During the diagnosis of patient Christiana Rohn, who is admitted for observation with various complaints, the two resident physicians arrive at different conclusions. Who is right? For the digitization of the archive, Julia relies on the active assistance of her colleagues. Matteo, however, doesn't see why he should waste his valuable time typing up his surgical reports. Tanja Nyman is admitted to the emergency room after a fall, where Sofia Galura and Dr. Matteo Moreau receive her. She has a complicated shoulder fracture that requires surgery. During the procedure, the team discovers an aneurysm, which could be related to the patient's unusually weak connective tissue. The evidence suggests Marfan syndrome, a hereditary disorder, which plunges Tanja into a crisis. Tanja has a daughter whom she reluctantly gave up for adoption 11 years ago due to her own drug problems. Since then, she has been hoping for the day her daughter will contact her and forgive her. But now Tanja has to contact child protective services to inform her daughter about Marfan syndrome. Not only is the aneurysm in danger of rupturing, but so is Tanja's dream of reconciliation. Ramona Kuhlmann is accompanied to the emergency room by her wife, Fritzi Kuhlmann. She has abdominal pain and light bleeding. Dr. Leyla Sherbaz and resident physician Oliver Probst see during the ultrasound: Ramona is pregnant. Although Ramona and Fritzi have an open marriage, they had a clear agreement: no children. Because of this, and because Fritzi is facing important career moves, Ramona doesn't dare tell her wife the truth. But then Ramona's life is at stake, and she has to decide: against the child she already loves, or for the child, risking losing her wife and, in the worst-case scenario, even her life during childbirth.
