Starting this Sunday, Discovery Channel is bringing viewers original footage from some of NASA's most awe-inspiring pioneering missions, now in HD, on When We Left Earth. The commemoration of our first 50 years in space features some of humankind's greatest adventures including footage filmed by the astronauts themselves, the early quest of the mercury program and even some of the worst space craft explosions documented.
