In the second season of this historical drama, Queen Victoria (Jenna Coleman) struggles to keep a balance between her role as Queen of England, wife to Prince Albert (Tom Hughes), and now to motherhood - after having her first child. Politically, Queen Victoria must deal with the consequences of the Anglo-Afghan War, as well as the devastating Irish potato famine. Meanwhile, Prince Albert takes interest in the Industrial Revolution that happening all over the country.
