California Dreamin': Part 1

The Hogans are off to California to help cheer up Sandy and Michael's father, who has just gone through a divorce. He currently lives on a yacht and they are surprised when they find out he is going to sail to Tahiti. They set out to try and convince him not to go. The boys become very interested in the local girls. David crashes a film set but still ends up being the assistant for an actress. Willie tries to convince a beach volleyballer to go on a date.

California Dreamin': Part 2

After the storm, when Lloyd's boat was wrecked, Sandy tries to convince him to return to live with them in Chicago. Mark gets it into his head that Cara is being unfaithful so he goes on a date with another girl. However, she flies out to California and sees him. Dave finally gets fed up with Jennifer's rudeness and demands .

The Baby Stops Here

To help out Mrs. Poole for a short time, Sandy looks after her niece, who is baby girl. However, Mrs Poole gets trapped in a refrigerator that stops her picking up the baby. As she has to leave, Sandy passes the baby onto Dave to look after. Dave then tricks Mark and Willie into looking after her. In the park, Mark and Willie manage to 'lose' the baby in a mix up.

The Play's the Thing

Mark challenges Willie to try out for the lead in the school play and, to everybody's surprise, he gets the role. Mark gets jealous as Cara is the female lead. Dave talks Sandy into stop buying so many raffle tickets and supporting so many charities. Lloyd and Michael play golf together, which Michael starts to regret as Lloyd is a sore winner.

From Russia with Fries

Dave's 21st is coming up, so Michael gives him his present - a watch that is a Hogan family heirloom, traditionally given to the eldest male in the family. Unfortunately, he drops it and it is destroyed. Mark and Willie want to go to a Rolling Stones concert, but they have to work. Willie convinces Sandy and Mrs. Poole to work in Bossy Burger so that they can go. Unfortunately for them, a delegation from Moscow arrives to look at the operation of the store. A mix-up leads to Mark and Willie being sacked from Bossy Burger.

Sandy's ex-husband Richard is getting remarried. She becomes dismayed when he asks Dave to be his best man and Dave accepts. Then, to try and show that she is happy with the situation, she goes to the wedding. Lloyd buys Mark and Willie a motorcycle without asking Michael first. Michael is not happy, and forbids them to ride it.

Dave is having a woman drought, so he decides to wear Michael's pilot's uniform. He also uses Michael's name, and goes to a bar with Burt, with some initial success. Things go wrong when the woman he meets turns up at the Hogan house.

There's conflict in the video store between Lloyd and Michael, who have very different taste in movies. Burt is running for treasurer for his college student government, and Dave is trying to help him. Mark and Cara are forced up to his room to study for a test, but they fall asleep. When Cara is discovered leaving the room the next morning, everybody jumps to the same conclusion. Nobody believes nothing happened.

The plumber scares Dave and Burt with a story about how the Hogan house is jinxed, because every 20 years the woman of the house is injured. When Sandy has a bad day, Dave starts believing in the curse and tries to disrupt her date. Willie has a fight with Brenda, but he meets an old girlfriend at work the next day. He then ends up with two dates on the same evening. Lloyd receives a letter from an old girlfriend, but they seem destined to never meet.

Ho, Ho, Hogans

Dave needs to earn some money for a ski trip, so he decides to become a Santa Claus at a local mall. After enduring some unpleasant treatment - including having a boy steal his wallet - the experience is an eye opener for him, and he learns about the real spirit of Christmas. Sandy is looking forward to decorating the Christmas tree, which becomes a bit of a chore. Lloyd is trying to re-institute the old Hogan family Christmas traditions, but is facing opposition from the family. Willie and Mark buy the same sweater for their girlfriends, and neither wants to take their present back.
