Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery), a detective with a unique condition that allows her to remember everything, returns for a second season of crime-solving, but her success in solving murders in Queens has attracted the attention of Eliot Delson (Dallas Roberts), the boss of the high-tech Major Crimes Section in Manhattan. In her new locale, Wells will get the chance to work on crimes other than homicide, but still be assisted by her partner and former lover, Lt. Al Burns (Dylan Walsh); and feisty medical examiner Dr. Joanne Webster (Jane Curtin).
