Based on a true story, the taut three-part miniseries unreels the grim story of Malcolm Webster, a British nurse who murdered his first wife in 1994 for the insurance payout and, after relocating to New Zealand, attempted to kill his second wife for the same reason. In between and after those malevolent marriages, he embarked on a series of questionable courtships, even pretending to be a leukemia patient while wooing a wealthy nurse.
